    Scott Thomas Co-Managing Partner

    Before founding Turning Point Lending, Scott Thomas was a managing partner of a retail wireless company. In his 20+ years as owner and Vice President, he led the company’s growth from one retail location to over 100 points of distribution and annual revenues topping $60 million. Next, he managed his own private hard money lending fund, generating a diverse wealth of experience. He now uses that experience to oversee operations, drive growth, and help real estate investors succeed here at Turning Point Lending.

  • Jim Dougherty Co-Managing Partner

    Jim Dougherty began his real estate career in 1986 as an appraiser. In 1992 Jim became president of his own residential appraisal firm. During his time running his appraisal firm, he focused on servicing hard money lender clients. In 2006, he leveraged his valuation expertise to become an active real estate investor, rehabbing both flips and holds to grow his wealth. At Turning Point Lending, he oversees risk assessment and lending decisions to drive success for our borrowers and capital partners.
